My experiences
This is my first time away from my family and staying abroad for a long time. It was the first time for me, so I was very excited before leaving the country.
First time homestay for me. My host family is very kind for me. I couldn't speak English very well, so I had a lot of trouble. But my host family tried to tell me so hard. I was very glad. I took many Japanese souvenirs. "kendama"，"origami"，"sakasagoma"，"koaranomarchi"，and so on. They look at these, and they are pleased. They have not tried "koma". So they cannot turn very well. They said "This is difficult."
Host mother and host father made dinners. It was very delicious! All dinner are delicious. Especially the lamb was particularly delicious.
Also at night，I went to see the night view with my host mother and Christchurch on top of the mountain. I was affected night view in Christchurch. It was very beautiful!! I was glad because I saw Southern Cross.
When my buddy goes to school，we go to tourist spot in Christchurch. I impressive spots are Antarctic Center, gondola and Jet board. and so on. I had good memories. I had a cold experienced at the Antarctic Center. I understood they live in a harsh environment. View from the gondola was beautiful. Jet board was so refreshing to run through the beautiful nature at high speed. I was interested in a lot of nature that I cannot see in Okayama.
I had a school experience. New Zealand and Japanese schools were very different. I heard that students of NZ are high level. They are smart. But I couldn't believe it because they attitude are very bad. For example, they talk with friends in classes, they play games in the Internet in classes, and so on. So I couldn't believe it.
In this time, I was a member of Life experience group. It was very valuable experiences. I thank you for participating in this experience. Thank you for my parents. Thank you for my host family. Thank you for all.
I will use this valuable experience in my future. And I will live hard.
今回の体験を通して

私は、今回初めて家族と離れて海外に長期滞在ました。私にとって何もかもが初めてのことばかりでしたが、出国前から緊張よりもワクワクの方が大きかったです。
初めてのホームステイ。私のバディの家族はとても私に親切にしてくれました。私は全然英語が話せないので会話が詰まる場面が多々ありました。でも、一生懸命伝えようとしてくれてうれしかったです。
また、お土産として持って行ったけん玉や折り紙、逆さ駒、コアラのマーチなどのお菓子を渡すと喜んでくれたのでよかったです。特に逆さ駒については、海外では駒を回すという経験がないため、駒を真下に落としながら回す事にとても苦労していました。ホストマザーやホストファザーが作ってくれるごはんはとてもおいしかったです。どれもおいしかったのですが、特にラム肉の料理が美味しかったです。また、夜にはホストマザーとクライストチャーチの夜景を山の上に見に行きました。星空とクライストチャーチの夜景が一度に見られてとても神秘的な感じでした。ずっと見たかった南十字星も見ることができたので嬉しかったです。
平日のバディが学校に行っている時は、クライストチャーチの観光に行きました。私が特に印象に残っている場所は、南極センタ－，ゴンドラ，ジェットボートです。その他にもたくさん良い思い出があります。南極センターは実際に南極の寒さ体験をしたことが楽しかったです。南極にいる人たちはとても厳しい環境の中で生活をしているのだと体験して分かりました。ゴンドラは止まったり動いたり怖かったけど、ゴンドラからの眺めはとても美しかったです。ジェットボートは山々の中を速いスピードで駆け抜けてとても爽快でした。岡山では見ることのできないとても美しい自然に眼を引き付けられました。
学校体験に関しては、あまりにも日本との違いにカルチャーショックを受けました。ニュージーランドは学力が高いと聞いたことがありますが、実際に通学してみて、それが真実なのかとても不思議に思いました。
今回、こうしてクライストチャーチに青少年生活体験団として行けたことはとても貴重だったと思います。この体験に出会えたこと、行かせてくれた両親、向こうで受け入れてくれたホストファミリー、すべてに感謝しています。この貴重な経験を今後の生活に生かして一生懸命に過ごしていきたいです。
