ニュージーランドで学んだこと

私がニュージーランドで学んだことは二つあります。一つ目はコミュニケーションの大切さです。今回、学校も違うまったく知らない人たちと一緒に二週間の旅に行くということに最初はとてもドキドキしていました。しかし、事前研修などを通して沢山話すことで緊張が解けて仲良くなることができました。出国する日にはみんな仲良くなり、年齢の壁もなくなりました。このように仲良くなれたのは、お互いのことを知ろうとする気持ちがあるからだと思います。これからも初対面の人とは積極的にコミュニケーションをとって仲良くなれるようにしていきたいです。

二つ目はチャレンジすることの大切さです。滞在中、ホストファミリーのマザーとファザーの勤務先の牧場で子牛の世話をする機会がありました。最初はたくさんの牛が鳴いていて少し怖かったですが、勇気を持って子牛にミルクを与えてみました。すると、とてもなついてくれました。ホストファミリーと会話をはずませることもできて、嬉しかったです。日本ではなかなか体験することができないことができて楽しかったです。これからもたくさんのことにチャレンジしていきたいです。最後に今回の滞在で思い出に残ったことです。

一つ目は、ブラックキャット港でクルーズをしたことです。一時間ほど太平洋をクルーズしました。そこで、ちいさなペンギンやアシカを見ることができました。海の中でたくましく泳いでいる姿を見て、凄いと思いました。二つ目は通学体験です。四日間、バディが通う学校に行きました。日本の中学校とは全く違う雰囲気にビックリしました。例えば、授業に関係ない会話をしても怒られないし、お菓子を食べている人もいました。授業はほとんどパソコンを使って行われていて、ハイテクだと思いました。今回の研修で学んだことや体験したことを今後の生活に活かしてこれからの中学校生活をより豊かなものにしていきたいです。

There're two things I have learned in New Zealand. First the importance of communication. I was very nervous at first about going on a 2-weeks trip with complete strangers from different schools. However, by talking a lot through the pre-departure training. We were able to relax and get to know each other. Everyone got along well on the day of departure. The age barrier has also disappeared. I think we were able to get along so well because of our willingness to get to know each other. I would like to continue to actively communicate with people I meet for the first time and get to know them better. Second is the importance of taking on challenges. During my stay, I had the opportunity to make care of calves on the farm where my host mother and father working. At first a little scared by the cries of the many cows, but I gathered up my courage and gave milk to the calves. The calves became very friendly to me. I was also happy to be able to strike up a conversation with my host family. It was fun to be able to do something that isn’t easy to experience in Japan. I would like to challenge many things in the future.

Finally, I would like to share some of the things that impressed me during my stay. I went to the school my duddy attends for dour days. I was surprised at how completely different the atmosphere was from that of a Japanese junior high school. For example, they didn't get angry at me for having conversation that had nothing to do with the class, and some of the kids were conducted using computers, which I thought was very high-teach. On the Black Cat Harbor cruise, we saw penguins and sea lions in the Pacific Ocean. It was wonderful and cute to see them swimming robustly in the sea. I would like to make use of what I learned and experienced during this training program in my future life to enrich my junior high school life from now on.
