Outline：We exhibit about 260 photographs of insects by IMAMORI Mitsuhiko, the world-renowned nature photogragher. These photographs shows the thoughtful attention that Imamori has given to the natural environment that surrounds the insects and the activity of human beings,and,through them, the relationship of humanity to nature.
2011/05/24 コレクションに見る郷土作家たち コレクションに見る郷土作家たち 岡山文庫『倉敷市立美術館～池田遙邨と郷土作家～』出版記念 2011年4月2日（土）〜5月8日（日） Closure day：月曜日休館 HOURS：9時～17時15分（入館は16時45分まで） Admission fees：一般／200円（150円）高大生／100円（70円）小中生／50円（30円）（ ）内は20名以上の団体料金倉敷市内の小中学生はいきいきパスポートおよび生徒手帳の提示で無料65歳以上の方、心身障がい者の方とその介護者1名は無料 Outline：本年2月、倉敷市立美術館のコレクションの核となっている池田遙邨の作品と、郷土ゆかりの作家たちの収蔵品をまとめた岡山文庫『倉敷市立美術館～池田遙邨と郷土作家～』が出版されました。掲載された郷土作家は各分野で53人にのぼり、この中には満谷国四郎や坂田一男ら日本近代美術史において重要な役割を果たした作家の秀作も多数含まれています。また、当館の収蔵品の特色のひとつは、写生画や書簡などの関連資料にありますが、岡山文庫には、こうした写生帖など完成作品以外の資料も採録されています。このたびの展覧会は、この岡山文庫の出版を記念して、掲載作品を中心に当館が収蔵する郷土ゆかりの作家たちの作品を紹介するものです。江戸から平成に至る郷土作家の多彩な表現をお楽しみください。
