The disability certificate app Mirairo ID is also accepted. Outline:TAKAHASHI Shu, who was selected for Person of Cultural Merits, was born in Fukuyama, Hiroshima in 1930 and made his debut in 1951. After receiving the Yasui Award, he moved to Rome in 1963. He was very active in Italy as a painter for 41 years. Since 2004, he has been based in Kurashiki, Okayama and has been active in exhibitions throughout the country as well as in the developing the talent of young people. This exhibition presents his trajectory of creation over more than 70 years through six themes. He has always been committed to presenting art that has a sense of excitement and tenderness to the people. The forms of art he sought changed over the years. We will introduce about 50 artworks including oil paintings, two-dimensional works, prints, and drawings divided into 6 themes: “Seeking for Texture”, “Playing with Color”, “Drawing Soft Curves”, “Contrasting Red and Black”, “Celebrating the Beauties of Nature”, and “Returning to Rinpa School”.
